FAQs

Is this the right studio for me?

If you value precise, private one-on-one instruction in a discreet, boutique setting, Yaletown Pilates is a perfect fit. Where accuracy, discipline, and mastery truly matter.

Cancellation Policy

24‑hour notice is required for cancellations or changes. Late cancellations or no-shows are charged in full, as each session is reserved exclusively for you.

How many sessions per week should I attend?

Similar to a gym routine, 3–4 sessions per week provide optimal results. We understand this isn’t always possible, attending at least 2 sessions per week can still yield noticeable improvements. Even a single session, supported with a guided independent home practice contributes meaningfully to your progress.

Standing Session Commitment

We do not operate as a drop-in studio. Our model is designed for clients committed to reserving 1-4 standing weekly sessions, ensuring availability, consistency, and progressive results.

Can I attend with a friend for a duet?

Duet sessions may be available for clients attending with a partner of their choice. Please inquire via the contact form to explore options.

Do men do Pilates?

Yes. Pilates was originally developed for men and is highly effective for balancing strength, improving core activation, spinal decompression, fascial health, flexibility, and posture.

What do I wear? Are Pilates socks required?

Wear comfortable, form-fitting workout clothes to allow for a full alignment assessment. Anti-slip Pilates socks are required for hygiene and safety; you may bring freshly washed socks or purchase a new pair at the studio ($20). The studio is shoe-free — please leave shoes in the entry area.

How do I find the studio? Is there parking available? Is it accessible via the Skytrain?

Please refer to the contact page for parking and directions, and view the video for guidance on locating the studio within the building.

Skytrain: The Post is a 3-minute walk from the Canada Line or Expo Line.

Studio cleanliness and hygiene:

At Yaletown Pilates, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene. The studio and equipment are disinfected daily. Shoes are not permitted in the studio, and socks are required for all sessions to maintain a sanitary studio environment.
