FAQs
Is this the right studio for me?
If you value precise, private one‑on‑one instruction and a discreet, boutique setting, Yaletown Pilates is a fit.
Cancellation Policy
24‑hour notice required for cancellations/changes. Late cancellations or no‑shows are charged in full.
What do I wear? Are Pilates socks required?
Wear comfortable, form‑fitting workout clothes to allow for an alignment assessment. Anti‑slip Pilates socks are required for hygiene and safety; new socks are available at the studio ($20) or bring freshly washed non‑slip socks. The studio is shoe‑free — please leave shoes in the entry area.
Do men do Pilates?
Yes. Pilates was originally developed for men and is highly effective for balancing strength, improving core activation, spinal decompression, fascial health, flexibility, and posture.
Can I bring a friend for a duet?
Duets may be offered after an initial series of private sessions. Please inquire via the contact form.
How many sessions per week?
Optimal: 3–4 sessions weekly. Recommended minimum: 2–3. Even one session per week yields noticeable improvement.
Is Pilates like Yoga?
No. Yoga emphasizes static poses and group practice; Classical Pilates uses spring resistance, equipment, and focused, dynamic sequencing, typically taught 1:1 or in very small groups with hands‑on instruction.
Where is the studio located? Is there parking available?
The studio is located inside The Post within Evolve Strength on Level 4. Parking is available.
A note about studio cleanliness and hygiene:
At Yaletown Pilates, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of studio hygiene and safety.
