Finding the right studio

Is this the right environment for you? Yaletown Pilates is a boutique style studio designed exclusively for individual client use. We specialize in private instruction, taught in the classical style of Pilates. We are a full-fledged equipment based studio and use the entire Pilates repertoire. If you are a detail-oriented person and prefer the exclusivity of working in a private setting with one-on-one instruction, this may be the right environment for you. Contact us to set up an appointment for a studio visit.

Online registration

Please register on line at least 24 hours ahead of a scheduled appointment so we have time to prepare your file. Online registration benefits you as we can prepare for your needs ahead of time. It also means that your time will be engaged by Pilates instead of filling out forms on your first visit.

What is the class size?

We offer private sessions only. Privates are available in either 55 or 85 minute sessions. 

How many sessions should I do per week?

3-4 sessions per week are optimum to feel the full benefits of Pilates. A minimum commitment of 2 sessions per week are suggested. However, even with 1 session per week you will feel an improvement.

What if I've never done Pilates before?

Pilates benefits everyone!  men, women, all fitness levels and all ages. From the novice, aging and those with ailments or rehabilitation needs, to advanced athletes and dancers.

Is Pilates for men?

Yes! The Pilates method was not only created by a man, but it was originally designed exclusively for men. 

What do I wear?

Comfortable, form-fitting workout clothes that allow us to monitor your alignment and movement.

For hygienic and safety reasons, we require that Pilates, anti-slip socks be worn during your session. Socks are available for purchase at the studio at a cost of $20.00.
